Katherine Kao's practice focuses on complex business litigation matters. She has experience in matters involving partnership disputes, corporate buy-outs, and business and fiduciary issues that arise in the context of marital dissolutions.

Prior to joining Valle Makoff LLP, Ms. Kao worked for the Judicial Council of California's Office of Court Research and United States Pretrial Services.

Ms. Kao earned her J.D. in 2009 from the University of California, Hastings College of the Law in San Francisco, California. While in law school, she received the CALI Excellence for the Future Award in Constitutional Law and was a research assistant for Professor Ethan J. Leib. She received her undergraduate degrees in Political Science and Rhetoric from the University of California, Berkeley in 2006.
